Who’s watching over your home and business? What if you knew you could have a skilled and dependable security partner on your side 24 hours a day? Just think how comforting that would be.

Having a home security system installed is just the first half of a secured home. When your alarm goes off, the security system sends out a signal to our monitoring station, which in turn, contacts you and the authorities. Without a home security monitoring service, an alarm that is tripped never contacts the police.

At PSI, we firmly believe that having a monitored home security system is the best solution for keeping your home and family safe. And we are proud to offer a variety of monitoring solutions to fit your home, lifestyle and budget.

What happens if it’s a false alarm?

False alarms do happen. Once you’ve confirmed to us over the phone that everything is alright by giving us your name and password, we’ll disregard the alarm and notify the authorities that there is no need to respond.

We respond to all alarms, whether genuine or false. Either way, you can rest assured that your system is working. Even if our central security station has received notification that an alarm has been shut off, a technician will call you. Why? You may have been forced to turn the alarm off by an intruder.

Although this is rare, for your personal safety, we’ll already have shown you exactly what to do in these circumstances. That is, inform the person calling that everything is “ok” and give an incorrect password. The police will be notified and informed of a potential hostage situation – a situation that puts local law enforcement on high alert.

What if there is no answer when your security personnel call?

If there is no answer or an incorrect password is given, the police or fire department will automatically be dispatched. Whether you are home or away, your family and possessions are protected.

What if I spot an intruder before he enters my home or business?

Our home security systems and our business protection products include a “panic button” designed to be used whether your system has been armed or not. In this case, our central station doesn’t waste valuable time verifying your situation. The police are dispatched to the premises right away.

What happens in the case of a fire?

With PSI fire and alarm monitoring, you won’t have to worry about calling the fire department. As soon as the alarm sounds, they are automatically informed and dispatched to your location. In the case of fire, every second counts. Everyone should get out of the building right away and meet in a prearranged place. Prior to 2004, the Seattle Police Department responded to an average of 25,000 alarm calls a year with over 97% of them being false, taking needed patrol officers off the street, wasting a valuable resource. Since the False Alarm Fine Ordinance was passed in 2004, the Seattle Police Department now responds to fewer than 11,000 false alarm calls a year. Despite this reduction, responding to false alarms costs the City of Seattle an excess of one million dollars annually. The 2004 ordinance is designed to protect Seattle residents and business owners. For more information on the Seattle False Alarm Program >>
