“Protective Systems Inc. recently installed a security system for a large apartment complex for us and we were quite impressed. The camera wiring was completed quickly and detailed, so the wires were discrete and not exposed. The camera technology consisted of high quality indoor/outdoor cameras, that all connect to home base DVR where I was able to view all of them on a monitor. The best part of the process was Kim the owner and his team were very personal and professional. Kim was always available for me to call if I had any question or issues and he would send out a technician whenever I needed. “I do not consider myself an ‘easy customer’ when it comes to home security as I consider aspects to be over-priced in some instances and I tend to scrutinize and analyze offers very carefully. Nonetheless, home security is pretty much a necessity. To compound this propensity to examine was also the problem of being ‘behind the curve’ as far as many changes to home security since my last upgrade. I considered offers from cable companies to other home security companies as well as general catching up on the technology. In addition, there was ample opportunity for self installation of some systems as well. In researching the various options, I asked many questions from potential providers along the way. Ultimately, I decided to go with Protective Systems based on dependability, flexibility and price. For my particular situation it seemed the best option as I already had an existing system with Protective Systems, which needed updating or replacing altogether. “Please allow me to take a moment of your time to make you aware that we recently signed with Protective Systems, Inc. to monitor our fire alarm system in our studios. In our search for a new monitoring company, we discovered PSI to be very honest and trustworthy. We did not find that with other companies. PSI knows that we are a nonprofit and did their best to get us the lowest monthly price for monitoring our system. I can honestly say that they saved us one-half off from the second lowest bid we received. In addition, they donated some equipment and gave us the rest at cost. They also donated the several hours that it took to install the equipment. I learned more than I ever wanted to about know about fire alarm systems and had been somewhat frightened about what we were going to have to do according to some of the other bidding companies. “I researched this before we installed an alarm system a few months ago. The big companies (Brinks, ADT) seem to have a lower initial cost, but the monthly charges are higher. Also, their equipment is “locked”, so you can’t change companies without paying a fee. We ended up going with a local company called Protective Systems. It was more up front, the monthly costs are lower, and the service has been top-notch. No break-ins so far to test them on, however.”
