False alarms do happen. Once you’ve confirmed to us over the phone that everything is alright by giving us your name and password, we’ll disregard the alarm and notify the authorities that there is no need to respond.

 

We respond to all alarms, whether genuine or false. Either way, you can rest assured that your system is working. Even if our central security station has received notification that an alarm has been shut off, a technician will call you. Why? You may have been forced to turn the alarm off by an intruder.

 

Although this is rare, for your personal safety, we’ll already have shown you exactly what to do in these circumstances. That is, inform the person calling that everything is “ok” and give an incorrect password. The police will be notified and informed of a potential hostage situation - a situation that puts local law enforcement on high alert.

If there is no answer or an incorrect password is given, the police or fire department will automatically be dispatched. Whether you are home or away, your family and possessions are protected.
